Testosterone - a sex hormone. Formed from cholesterol testes in men, in small amounts created by the ovaries in women. Also in small quantities produced by the adrenal cortex. It defines the basic physiological processes. It is playing a crucial role in the development of the male body.

The hormone promotes the accumulation of muscle mass, burning excess fat and regulate bone density. Participates in the timely formation of secondary male sexual characteristics. Female rate is low: 0,39-1,95 nmol / L.
